Dr. Rashed Karkain is an Emirati entrepreneur, innovator, researcher, and author of Sustainable Development Leaders. He serves as Vice President of the Society of Scholars in the UAE and holds a Ph.D. in Environment and Health and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
With over 28 years of experience in sustainable development, environmental leadership, project management, the green economy, carbon capture, and green hydrogen, he has 15 registered intellectual properties with the UAE’s Ministry of Economy.
Dr. Karkain has received multiple honors, including the Dubai Government Excellence Program Award, the Rashid Award for Scientific Excellence, the UAE Innovate Award, and the Leadership Impact Award from Westford.
He is the founder and managing director of the Sustainable Development Research and Training Institute, which leads accredited training programs, workshops, and consultancy services focused on sustainability and environmental protection.
