
Gidi Grinstein
Founder and President of Reut Group and Tikkun Olam Makers
Mr. Gidi Grinstein is one of the foremost experts on the Israeli-Palestinian permanent status agreement. His most recent book, “(In)Sights: Peacemaking in the Oslo Process Thirty Years and Counting,” offers a deep dive into the outstanding issues of the Oslo Process. “(In)Sights” is based on Gidi’s tenure as secretary and coordinator of the Israeli delegation for the negotiations with the Palestine Liberation Organization, including at the Camp David summit with President Clinton, Chairman Arafat, and Prime Minister Barak. He also participated in multiple track II activities and backchannel negotiations. In 2004, Grinstein founded The Reut Institute and led it to become a leading Israeli think-tank specializing in national security and economic development. Grinstein is also the Founder and President of TOM (Tikkun Olam Makers), a global humanitarian venture focused on innovation to meet the needs of People of Determination and people at the bottom of the economic ladder, with over 1,000 open-source solutions under development. TOM has operated in 36 countries including in all Abraham Accords nations, as well as in the Palestinian Authority. In 2014, Grinstein authored “Flexigidity: The Secret of Jewish Adaptability.” He is a graduate of Tel-Aviv University schools of Economics and Law, and of the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government. Grinstein is married to Betty, who founded and leads a global water security company. They live in New York and have five children. Gidi enjoys long-distance running and has completed 9 marathons.
