Dr. Ayman Al Hendy is a world-renowned physician-scientist and the current Professor and Chair of Medical Sciences at Khalifa University, where he also serves as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi. With a career spanning prestigious institutions like the University of Chicago and Augusta University, he has dedicated his research to developing non-surgical, curative treatments for women’s health issues, most notably uterine fibroids and premature ovarian failure. A pioneer in translational medicine, his NIH-funded work focuses on the therapeutic benefits of Vitamin D, green tea extract, and gene therapy to address health disparities in reproductive health. Beyond his clinical and research achievements, which include over 300 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Al-Hendy is a past President of the Society for Reproductive Investigation and continues to mentor the next generation of medical professionals through his dual roles in academia and advanced clinical practice.
