
Fatima Al Mazrouei

Fatima Al Mazrouei is a versatile author, novelist, poet, and short story writer. She currently serves as the head of the Historical Archives Department at the National Archives, which falls under the Ministry of Presidential Affairs. With a master’s degree in Political Science from Zayed University, Fatima’s literary talents span across various genres, including novels, critiques, articles, cinema, theater, children’s stories, and poetry. Fatma is a regular columnist for the Emirati newspaper Al Bayan and has contributed to numerous cultural and social magazines. Her literary portfolio boasts over 20 publications encompassing poetry, theater, short stories, novels, and articles. She actively participates in cultural evenings, scientific conferences, and conducts workshops on short story writing, novel writing, and children’s stories. Recognized for her literary excellence, Fatma has been honored with nineteen awards in literature and culture. Notably, she received the prestigious Al Oweis Award for Best Creative and Cultural Work in 2013 for her novel “Darkness,” the Sheikha Shamsa Bint Suhail Award for Literature and Culture in 2013, and the Emirates Novel Award in 2017 for her novel “My Other Story.” Her publication “Expo from Osaka to Dubai” was published by the Ministry of Information and Culture in 2023.
