Human Rights at Expert & Interfaith Leader
Leena Al-Belooshi is a prominent interfaith leader and human rights expert currently pursuing a PhD in Islamic Legal Jurisprudence. She is dedicated to transforming coexistence education from a hopeful concept into practical and lasting change.
With more than a decade of experience in academia, law, and public service across the Middle East and beyond, her work sits at the intersection of faith, education, and justice. She has trained government officials, developed national curricula, and led interfaith education initiatives, most recently serving as Head of Education and Dialogue at the Abrahamic Family House.
From designing university courses in human rights and social cohesion to advising on anti-trafficking policy and facilitating dialogue among diverse communities, her mission remains clear: to promote coexistence through knowledge, empower leadership through values, and establish frameworks where shared humanity is the cornerstone.
As she explores how ethical and faith-based traditions can address contemporary global challenges, Leena emphasizes that education is the most powerful tool for sustainable peace. She is committed to ensuring that education remains courageous, inclusive, and transformative.
