Prof. Christopher Hill is an experienced academic and international higher education leader whose work on international branch campuses has enabled him to develop and lead internationalisation projects, establish academic departments in dynamic contexts, and build extensive global networks. In his role as Academic Director of the Postgraduate Certificate of Higher Education, he supports the professional development of research students and early-career academics while engaging in capacity-building and research initiatives for ministries, institutions, and governments. His research focuses on transnational education, particularly its impact in Southeast Asia, as well as the development of international education and the global student experience. He has widely published and presented in this field, and has organised and delivered conferences, workshops, and training programmes worldwide. Prof. Hill has also led funded projects to enhance research capacity and internationalise higher education systems in Iraq, Taiwan, and Thailand, and in 2012 was awarded a U21 Teaching and Learning Network Fellowship for his research on internationalisation and global citizenship. With extensive operational and strategic experience across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, he has designed master’s and doctoral programmes in ICT and higher education, developed institutional and departmental strategies, and continues to serve internationally as a reviewer and programme assessor.
