Xi Liang is the Head of Artificial Intelligence at Mashreq, where she leads the bank’s AI strategy and innovation across its business units, driving initiatives that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and overall competitiveness. With over 15 years of cross-sector experience spanning banking, retail, healthcare, and consulting, she brings a strong track record in developing scalable and responsible AI solutions aligned with business outcomes.

Prior to joining Mashreq, Xi held leadership roles at Judo Bank and Endeavour Group, served as an advisor at McKinsey & Company, and conducted research at IBM, where she was credited with four patents and contributed to peer-reviewed publications. Her work focuses on advancing generative AI, intelligent automation, and enterprise-wide AI adoption in line with strategic and regulatory frameworks.

Xi holds a PhD in Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Melbourne, and has earned multiple certifications in cloud computing, AI governance, and data science from leading global institutions.
